We always perform thorough testing of every product we supply. This means you can rely on the quality of turbochargers and goods purchased from us.
BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) provides a 24-month warranty on turbochargers.
The warranty period may vary depending on the sales region and is specified in the warranty terms applicable in the respective country.
Warranty Conditions
Contracting Parties
The warranty agreement is concluded between BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) and the purchaser of the product purchased from BR Turbo or an authorized reseller.
General Warranty Validity Conditions
The warranty is valid provided that the turbocharger purchased from BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) is initially installed and operated on a vehicle with a technically sound internal combustion engine and its systems (including the fuel, EGR, and exhaust systems). BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) shall not be liable for defects caused by external factors, including but not limited to:
- absence, low level, insufficient quantity, or contamination of engine oil;
- any mechanical impact resulting in visible damage to the turbocharger or its components;
- exceeding the permissible engine speed;
- a faulty engine lubrication system, including blocked oil supply lines, clogged oil channels, faulty pressure relief valves, defective oil pump, etc.;
- low, absent, or manufacturer-noncompliant oil pressure;
- ingress of contaminants or foreign materials into the engine lubrication system;
- damage to the intake system, its hoses, air filter housing, or intercooler;
- injector wear;
- malfunction of the EGR system;
- clogging of the DPF filter and or catalytic converter;
- malfunction of electronic or mechanical boost system components not related to the turbocharger;
- overheating of vanes, excessive EGT temperatures not compliant with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
Vehicle Modifications
If the vehicle has been modified to increase power and BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) was not informed, the warranty may be limited or rejected if it is determined that such modifications caused the failure.
BR Turbo Warranty Obligations
If manufacturer defects are detected during the warranty period, caused by material or workmanship deficiencies, BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) will repair the turbocharger free of charge or replace it with an equivalent unit.
Warranty Period
The warranty period for turbochargers is 24 months from the date of sale. The warranty remains valid only if all warranty conditions are met. If, during an inspection, BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) determines that the installation or warranty conditions were not followed, the warranty claim will be rejected.
The Warranty Shall Be Void If It Is Determined That:
- the operating or installation instructions specified by the manufacturer have been violated; rules described here;
- the turbocharger was repaired outside BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ), if it is proven that such repair caused the defect;
- the turbocharger was disassembled, inspected, repaired, or structurally modified by the customer or any third party;
- there are traces of unauthorized interference or self-repair affecting the operation of the product;
- installation technology was violated;
- the customer refuses or is unable to provide the requested diagnostic data and information regarding elimination of the root cause of failure prior to installation of the turbocharger supplied by BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ);
- the turbocharger was installed independently without appropriate qualifications and the defect was caused by improper installation.
Not Covered by Warranty
- mechanical damage to the turbocharger or its parts and components;
- damage caused by foreign objects entering the turbocharger;
- damage caused by lack of lubrication or the use of unsuitable oils and fuels;
- damage resulting from the use of parts or materials not approved by the manufacturer;
- consumables and installation materials and limited-lifetime parts not forming part of the turbocharger;
- the turbocharger is not covered by warranty in the absence of scheduled vehicle maintenance, including engine oil and oil filter replacement.
Warranty Claim Procedure
1. Methods of Submitting a Claim
A warranty claim is accepted only:
- in digital form via the dedicated warranty form on the landing page https://br-turbo.com/warranty,
- or in paper form by completing a warranty form at a BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) point of sale (PDF link).
Without a fully completed warranty form (digital or paper), the turbocharger will not be accepted for warranty review.
2. Required Information
If the turbocharger was installed, the claimant must provide:
- first and last name;
- contact details (phone, e-mail);
- indication whether the claimant is a legal entity, company name;
- order number;
- turbocharger or part number;
- installation date and odometer reading at installation;
- removal date and odometer reading at removal;
- vehicle VIN, make, model, year of manufacture, power (kW), fuel type;
- who performed the replacement, company or workshop name;
- confirmation of oil change prior to installation;
- confirmation of engine diagnostics and identification of the root cause of the previous turbocharger failure;
- information on engine chip tuning;
- description of the problem.
If the turbocharger was not installed and the defect was discovered prior to installation, the claimant must provide:
- first and last name;
- contact details (phone, e-mail);
- indication whether the claimant is a legal entity, company name;
- order number;
- turbocharger or part number;
- description of the detected defect;
- attached photographs.
3. Sending the Product for Inspection
Shipping the turbocharger for warranty inspection is carried out at the buyer’s expense. If the inspection confirms a warranty case, BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) shall reimburse the buyer for documented transportation costs.
After confirmation of the warranty claim, the customer must send the turbocharger to BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ), Betooni tn 11E, 13816 Tallinn, for warranty inspection within 10 business days from receipt of the notification of claim acceptance.
If the product is not sent within the specified period and the customer does not provide a justified reason for the delay, the claim shall be deemed withdrawn by the customer and the warranty review closed.
4. Commencement of Warranty Inspection
Warranty inspection and further actions by BR Turbo (Bane Roco OÜ) commence only after the returned turbocharger has been physically received.
Personal Data Processing
By submitting a warranty claim, the customer agrees to the processing of personal data for the purposes of claim review and fulfillment of warranty obligations. Detailed information on data processing is available in the Privacy Policy (link to privacy policy).
Operating Recommendations
- Use only high-quality gaskets and installation components and materials from reputable manufacturers;
- The turbocharger should be installed at automotive service centers with qualified and experienced specialists and appropriate equipment;
- After starting the engine, allow it to idle to build sufficient oil pressure;
- After dynamic driving (highway and city), do not switch off the engine immediately, allow it to idle to prevent premature turbocharger bearing wear;
- Avoid prolonged idling;
- Do not press the accelerator pedal when starting or before shutting off the engine;
- Regularly perform scheduled vehicle maintenance, engine oil, oil filter, and air filter replacement;
- Regularly perform engine maintenance.
